It rebuilds lists of data values within "MuiCache" subkeys in at least four registry locations. It executes at startup or is run from the command prompt. "MCbuilder.exe" should reside in "C:\Windows\System32." On 64-bit systems, that should be the 64-bit version of the process, with a 32-bit version in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64." It is the Microsoft Windows MUI Cache Builder. The genuine mcbuilder.exe file is a software component of Microsoft Windows Operating System by Microsoft Corporation.
