As it turns out, Tau vs AI have it fairly easy if you use sight range properly.
In this game the counter hadn't even hit 5 out of 600! Did the map the usual way and started taking out crusade bases ASAP with my commander and just two fire warriors. For the record, I usually take out the aircraft base shortly before the first crusade. After parking this for the longest time, I'm back at my Tau campaign and have just taken out the SoB.
